The American medical school and residency training programs continue to excel in quality of education and innovation, as evidenced by the thousands of physicians overseas hoping to acquire their skills here. And physicians are not alone – many patients overseas seek U.S. trained physicians for their medical and surgical needs. These patients pay tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket for their airfare, accommodations, surgery, and hospital stay to get treated by the best physicians and surgeons in the world.
The road to the best U.S. hospital and physician is not easy for international patients. Non-U.S. citizens are faced with the task of finding the best physician/surgeon for their diagnosis/disease. They are then faced with the challenge of scheduling an appointment, getting an estimate of costs prior to making the trip, and making travel arrangements in a foreign language.
As a physician/surgeon who trained at world-renowned, Ivy-League academic centers, the Founder of the Surgical Consulting Network of America (SCNOA) seeks to provide personalized service to overseas customers. SCNOA will provide customers nationwide access to the most diagnostically gifted and technically skilled physicians and surgeons. At the customer’s request SCNOA Consultant Physicians will review individual cases, provide counseling on appropriate treatment options, and arrange for leading physicians in the field to evaluate and treat its customers. SCNOA can also assist in facilitating immigration, travel arrangements, appointment scheduling, translation services, and accommodations.
Surgical Consulting Group was started in 2004 by two surgeons who in the process of their training in the United States realized there were very few independent, unbiased resources available to the international patient. The company was later rebranded the Surgical Consulting Network of America, or SCNOA, in 2016 to more accurately reflect its mission.
